Machines for Charities

Do you have a redundant knitting machine? If so there are charities which accept these for use overseas. (Machines should be in working order and with an instruction manual, some charities will not take electronic machines):

Tools with a Mission (TWAM) www.twam.co.uk - Tools with a Mission enables people to earn a living and to support themselves. Volunteer collectors scattered all over the country. Tel: 01473 210220.

Workaid www.workaid.org - Workaid tackles poverty by supplying disadvantaged people with the tools they need to acquire practical skills and become self supporting. Tools and equipment are collected from all over the UK , refurbished and sent to vocational training projects and self-help groups, mostly in East Africa and in the UK. Tel: 01494 775220.
