The Guild of Machine Knitters was launched on 5th March 1998, following research and efforts by Frank Dineen.
The Guild is run on an entirely voluntary basis by machine knitters for machine knitters, and all those interested in the craft, present and future.
The aims are for the short, medium and long term promotion of the craft of machine knitting for the benefit of all – individual knitters, clubs, professional designers, manufacturers, suppliers etc.
The Guild operates a Buddy Scheme, whereby Guild members who need help etc. may be put in touch with other local members. If you would prefer NOT to be contacted, please notify the Membership Secretary in writing.
