FEOLA DAWES - Died May 2010 Many clubs will remember a visit from Feola as she travelled around the shows in her little caravanette, with her dog in the back, visiting friends, talking at clubs and seeing the sites on the way. She was delightful person to talk to, her talks were funny and informative and her enthusiasm for design and knitting was infectious, and she was always willing to share her ideas and techniques with you. Though she had a break when she first discovered she had cancer (she stopped knitting and went back to painting and pottery) as soon as she was well enough it was back to designing and knitting again. Her death is a sad loss for the world of machine knitting.
Competitions 2010
The 2010 Competition has now closed. Judging will be taking place shortly and the results will be announced at the AGM and Guild Day on 19 June 2010. The results and photographs of all entries will be put on to the website soon after they have been announced. Thank you to everyone who sent in an entry.
