I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2011. My final collection
was inspired by traditional Fishermen's Gansey jumpers & the heritage of
the Fishing industry. I combined domestic & industrial machine knits with
hand-knitted edgings & cables & incorporating traditional stitch patterns.
Since graduating I have developed a small but unique collection of British
yarns, dyed ethically & naturally in rural Lincolnshire with locally gathered
dyestuffs. I grow my own woad, weld, coreopsis and other plants to create
my range of colours, and produce a small range of accessories, kits and
garments in these naturally dyed yarns. I have always been passionate about
knitting, & will be holding knitting & crochet workshops at my studio at
Unit 6, Fathomworks, The Ropewalk, Maltkin Road, Barton-on-Humber, North Lincolnshire.
I graduated from Kingston University, London in 2012, majoring in BA Hons
Fashion. I specialise in Womenswear and in particular knitwear and have
worked on both industrial and domestic knitting machinery. I was lucky enough
to be selected to show at Graduate Fashion Week in June 2012, where my collection
was predominantly knitwear and part sponsored by SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS. I am
also a finalist in the 2012 Knitted Textile Awards.
